Hiring organizations
01Employer questions
What to expect when the vacancy is urgent—but the long-term fit still matters.
01What roles does Cornerstone recruit for?
Our primary focus is permanent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner placement nationwide. We also consider select specialized RN and clinical-leadership searches where our direct-hire approach and behavioral-health expertise are a strong fit.
02Do you provide temporary, travel, locum, or per-diem staffing?
No. Cornerstone is focused on permanent direct-hire recruitment. That allows us to spend more time on clinical readiness, mission alignment, practical fit, and the conditions that support long-term retention.
03How is Cornerstone different from a typical staffing firm?
We do not send a stack of available résumés and call it progress. We learn how the role actually operates, what the team needs, what success should look like, and why the right clinician would stay. Every introduction is made with that complete picture in mind.
04How do you vet PMHNP candidates?
We assess relevant clinical experience, patient populations, scope confidence, care setting, judgment, and communication. We also explore leadership preferences, care philosophy, schedule, compensation, geography, autonomy, motivation, and long-term goals before presenting a candidate.
05What will we receive with a candidate introduction?
You receive more than a résumé. We provide context on the clinician's relevant experience, interest in the role, clinical and cultural alignment, practical requirements, timing, and any potential concern worth discussing early.
06How quickly can you fill an open role?
Timing depends on the market, location, compensation, schedule, licensing requirements, and how clearly the opportunity is positioned. We move with urgency, but we will not sacrifice fit simply to produce activity. We set realistic expectations after the initial search conversation.
07Do you recruit nationwide?
Yes. Cornerstone supports permanent searches across the United States, with particular depth in PMHNP and behavioral-health recruitment. State licensing, relocation, commute, and remote-work requirements are clarified at the beginning.
08Can you help with confidential or replacement searches?
Yes. We can discuss sensitive searches privately and establish clear communication boundaries before outreach begins. Candidate confidentiality and the organization's need for discretion are both treated seriously.
09What does the employer fee cover?
Our direct-hire fee covers role discovery, market positioning, targeted sourcing, candidate engagement, screening, fit assessment, interview coordination, offer support, and transition communication. The exact fee and guarantee terms are documented clearly before the search begins.
10Do you offer a placement guarantee?
Our employer agreement includes defined replacement-search terms. We review the details before launch so expectations are clear on both sides.
11Do we need to work with Cornerstone exclusively?
Not necessarily. We can discuss the structure that best fits the difficulty and urgency of the search. Regardless of structure, clear communication about candidate ownership and active pipelines helps protect everyone's time.
12What do you need from us to start a search?
We begin with a focused conversation about the clinical work, patient population, schedule, compensation, location, team, leadership, mission, interview process, and what has made the role difficult to fill. The stronger the brief, the stronger the search.
PMHNPs and clinicians
02Clinician questions
How confidential representation gives you more context, advocacy, and control than applying alone.
01Is there a fee for clinicians to work with Cornerstone?
No. There is no fee to the clinician. Our role is to understand what you want, represent your experience accurately, connect you with aligned permanent opportunities, and help you make an informed decision.
02Can I explore opportunities confidentially?
Yes. You decide what is shared, when it is shared, and which organizations may receive your information. We do not send your résumé or identifying details to an employer without your permission.
03Do I need to be actively looking for a new job?
No. Many strong clinicians are open to the right conversation without actively applying. We can learn what would make a move worthwhile and reach out only when an opportunity appears meaningfully aligned.
04How is this different from applying to jobs myself?
A posting shows only what is public. We build the search around your clinical interests, schedule, compensation, geography, autonomy, values, and long-term goals. We also advocate directly for the experience behind your résumé and help surface context before you invest in interviews.
05What information will you ask me for?
We discuss your clinical background, licenses, patient populations, preferred setting, schedule, location, compensation, leadership preferences, care philosophy, career goals, and practical needs. You remain in control of what is shared externally.
06Can you help if my ideal role is not publicly posted?
Yes. Part of our work is targeted outreach to organizations that fit your background and goals. When appropriate and with your permission, we can introduce your experience confidentially even when no public posting captures the opportunity you want.
07Will you help improve how my experience is presented?
Yes. We help clarify the story behind your résumé, identify the most relevant strengths for each opportunity, and prepare a focused candidate presentation. We can also flag résumé areas that may need clearer context.
08Do you help with interview preparation and offers?
Yes. We share available context, prepare you for the interview, keep communication moving, help you evaluate the full opportunity, and support clear conversations around compensation, expectations, and transition timing.
09What kinds of positions do you represent?
Our focus is permanent direct-hire work, especially PMHNP opportunities. Roles may be full-time or part-time and may be onsite, hybrid, or remote when the employer and licensing structure support it.
10Will you pressure me to accept a role?
No. A placement is successful only when the decision is right for both sides. We will give honest perspective, but the final choice remains yours and your information stays protected throughout the process.
The Cornerstone standard
03Partnership questions
The principles, privacy, and practical next steps behind every conversation.
01Is Cornerstone a faith-based company?
Cornerstone has a Christian foundation that shapes how we serve: integrity, stewardship, candor, dignity, and care for people. We work respectfully with employers and clinicians of every background, and faith remains a quiet foundation rather than a condition of partnership.
02What does 'mission fit' mean?
Mission fit is not about everyone thinking the same way. It means understanding how an organization serves patients, how the team works, what the role demands, and whether the clinician's care philosophy and working style can support that mission over time.
03How is personal information handled?
Candidate information is shared only for legitimate recruiting purposes and with appropriate permission. Confidential search details are handled deliberately, and we avoid circulating résumés or sensitive information simply to create volume.
04What happens after I contact Cornerstone?
We review your message and respond by email to arrange a focused conversation. Employers can expect questions about the role and business impact; clinicians can expect questions about their ideal role and long-term goals.
05What is the best way to get started?
